<p>I just got a new pan, i've used it a few time but i just read and found out that i need to season it.  I also read that some modern ones come pre seasoned but how do i tell?  The pan i got is a 9.5 Berndes basic.</p>

<p>Hmmm . If u can take the handle off try rubbing some grease inside of the pan and put it in the oven upside down for about a hour. It seems to work for me.</p>

<p>Hi do I have to season an enamaled cast iron skillet. My foods stick real bad or burn real fast.I do put butter or little oil to cook but all my stuff turns out lousy.The inside is white enamel.</p>

<p>I always heard about "seasoning" a cast iron skillet or pot but never understood why its done with cast iron but not with, say stainless steel or aluminum.  Anyone?</p>
