I just purchased a new 12" cast iron skillet and the label on it claims that it's "seasoned, ready-to-use." Naturally, I'm suspicious. How can I be sure that it really is seasoned correctly? Should I season it myself just to be sure?

US $37.80

Can’t hurt to do it yourself.
It is just fine go ahead and use it. Saw on America test kitchens where they said pre-seasoned was okay to go ahead and use.
You are not going to hurt it by seasoning it again. That way you will be sure.
it may say pre-seasoned but not the way it should be,season it again your self
