I'm wanting to replace an enameled dutch oven pan that has become badly chipped over the years.
Looking in the stores, some enameled pans seem heavier than others. Is cast iron enamel different from porcelain enamel?
Advice and info appreciated.
No there’s no difference. There is enameled cast iron and enameled stainless. Some cookware have enamel coating on the inside too.
well the cast iron as the name suggests is a base made of cast iron,coated with enamel ,the porcelain one has porcelain as its body
No cast iron is much more hard wearing and a lot heavier
