Ebay Listings for Cast Iron Cookware:

I live in Virginia. I want to buy cast iron cookwares ( not as set, but individula pieces). What are places / shop that you suggest are good for the quality as well as economical ones.

Call around to some junk/antique type stores. I have found one in my area that has dozens of cast iron pots and pans. Skillets, dutch ovens, griddles, etc…The old stuff is the best it is preseasoned, and virtually non stick. A real hardware store (not home depot).will have it too. If buying new, only get Lodge brand. Don’t get ANY other.

Salvation Army and St. Vincent’s ALWAYS have tons. I haven’t seen one peice over $6.00. A little trick I use is I only buy the ones made in America. Some of them have REAL value.

I find lots of heavy cast iron cookware at flea markets. While I prefer Lodge brand, if it is heavy, I do buy other brands.

Best place to get it new and cheap is a restaurant supply store. I bought a couple about 3 months ago. They were much cheaper than I was expecting.
You will just need to season them before using.

Garage sales can be a good source as well especially multiple family sales.
