4 Frittata Skillet: Do I Need A Special One, Or Will Cast Iron Skillet Do?

What size do I need for an 8 egg frittata?
Does the cast iron skillet, (if usable) need extra greasing to get Frittata out?
Thank you for your help

Cast iron is perfect. Coat it with pan spray or oil – just enough to allow for easier removal.

a 20cm frying pan should be fine. If you are using an old iron skillet its natural seasoning should prevent sticking and not require over greasing. You should be cooking the eggs in about 4-5 tablespoons of olive oil.

Cast iron skillets are wonderful. However, since I do not own one I just use my very large coated skillet and the frittata’s come out great. I use olive oil and butter to coat the skillet.

A 11 or 12 inch cast iron skillet will work good. Yes melt butter in pan before adding anything. I use bacon greese, it’s tasty.

If I had the money for new pans, I would ONLY have cast iron in everything.
For future reference… Check out hardware stores and camping sections for cheap cast iron.
Something that sells for $30.00 at a department store will be $9.00 at a camping store.
But yes, cast iron is PERFECT!
Heat it up on the stove, turn on the oven, peel back the butter paper like a bananna and use it like a paint brush to coat the pan with a very thin coating, add the ingredients, put in oven.
    It should be awsome!
