Martha Stewart Collection of Cast Iron Cookware

Cast iron cookware can be both elegant and functional, so maybe that’s why Martha Stewart chose to have a line of enameled cast iron cookware as part of her famous collection.

The line of Martha Stewart cast iron cookware can be purchased from several brick and mortar retailers such as K-Mart or Macys, or it is also frequently available online on auction sites such as Ebay or Amazon.com.

Enameled cast iron cookware can come in some brilliant colors and the Martha Stewart Collection of cookware is no exception. You will find her enameled cast iron cookware and serving dishes in such colors as cobalt blue, light blue, green, red or sand. These colors and cookware can provide an elegant touch to your kitchen that is functional as well.

Pre-Seasoned Cast Iron Cookware

Bare cast iron cookware must be seasoned before you use it. Pre seasoning is a process where a combination of oil and heat is used to coat the cookware so that it will be at its best for long term use and will provide a non-stick surface for cooking.

Seasoning is not excessively difficult, but some people do not want to have to go through that process in order to begin using their pans.  Years ago, there may not have been another option, but today there is.  Today, you can buy just about all types of cast iron cookware that is already pre-seasoned.  If you want to begin cooking right away with your new cast iron cookware, just make sure to buy a  pre-seasoned pan, and you’re ready to start cooking!
